Marinela, a screenplay based on a case on the Texas/Mexico border in the seventies. A new lawyer gets in a crossfire (literally) between the Mexican Mafia and the DEA, and between a jealous ex-wife Mexican singer and her young protege (Marinela). In federal court the protagonist (Matt Cross) implies a threat against the judge, and when the judge is assassinated, Matt is a primary suspect until Charlie Harrellson confesses. (Woody's father) An attempt on Matt results in the mistaken killing of the young of Marinela, and Matt seeks revenge.
