| About the Band: |
Indie/Folk singer-songwriter, Jeff Solomon is a rare gem to find in a sea of artists looking for "the deal". Since he was a little boy, he has been doing some form of music, whether singing or playing his Dukes of Hazard toy guitar for his mommy at the age of three, rocking out a crowd of thousands at sixteen, or playing the Blue Bird at 25 . He started out with a cheap guitar and a tape recorder at around 14 years old and that was when he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. Now in his early thirties, after forming countless bands, working with tons of people in the industry, he is writing songs again and bringing them to us in a way that only he can do it. Jeff has been through enough and experienced enough to understand that so many artists become overwhelmed by major record deals and often lose their way, philosophically and not to mention financially. Jeff seems to just really love the music and continues to play shows, write and pitch news songs to publishers/artists/labels and is always actively working within the business in tv/ad placements/voice overs and film/TV scoring to further his career and success. With the music business changing rapidly every single day, this young artist knows that it is time for a change, as well. With his first collection of songs, he showed us he is a tender and thoughtful songwriter who knows how to capture a melody and embrace the process of writing and crafting lyrics, whether it is a simple idea or a complex composition . As he has been touring and playing out, he continues to improve his songwriting and ability to capture a crowd live. He is constantly working on his musicianship and raw talents to hone them into more professional and engaging performances. He is always looking for ways to make his music better, for he feels that not only does a song or music need to be treated well and placed in the right atmosphere, but also that the audience and the fans deserve to hear the best performance possible. Although, Jeff Solomon is just beginning to get his feet wet in the competitive world of music, this jangly, good time, easy-to-know indie folk artist knows exactly what he wants. He is not searching for fame and fortune or even a million dollar record deal. He just wants to play music that he and the people love. "Whatever comes, comes.", he says with a shrug of his shoulders. A rare gem indeed. -G.Lindel, MusicNEWZ blog
