Valinda Love was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Reno, Nevada. Her parents were hard working immigrants from two neighboring countries in West Africa - Liberia and Sierra Leone. Raised in a home with such rich cultural influences Valinda had a love for the arts. She performed hip hop and jazz dance routines at various programs and events throughout the city. She even performed as a background dancer for many local hip hop artists. It was obvious that Valinda was born to entertain and it wasn't long before she began to do just that.
Valinda loved to dance, but she had a true passion for singing. Her interest in singing began when she was just 5 years old. She grew up singing gospel in her church choir and had her first public musical performance at the age of 8.
Valinda is a recording artist, songwriter, model and aspiring fashion designer. God has blessed her with many talents. She has completed her much anticipated album entitled "Like a Million" where she had the opportunity to express her artistic ability. The album has an array of R&B, Neo soul, and jazz tracks. She is a powerful storyteller and uses her songwriting as a form of expression. She is an artist whose songs have strong messages. The album's first single and title track "Like a Million" is now available on ITunes and CDBABY.com.
Valinda has also performed on the same stage as phenomanal talents such as Ledisi, Layla Hathaway and Erykah Badhu. She is a rising star shining brightly for all the world to see. Welcome to the world of Valinda Love.
